Most Desired Persona Remakes Revealed In Atlus Survey
Atlus announced the latest voting results and asked fans which of the studio's old persona titles they would like to remake.
Atlus has released polls that reveal which personas are most sought after by fans.
While the Persona series has always been a niche franchise, mostly for hardcore JRPG enthusiasts, the recent flagship Persona 5 has helped bring the series to a wider audience.
The positive evolution of Persona 5's great success, years after its initial release, is the final arrival of the Persona series on the Xbox platform.
At the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase last June, Atlus announced that Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal would be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Windows Store.
The games will be released sequentially, with Persona 5 Royal coming out first via Xbox GamePass in October. Of the three titles, only Persona 4 Golden was released outside the PlayStation platform when it became available on Steam in 2020.
This could have also helped pave the way for the game to reach more platforms. Even Nintendo Switch owners are finally getting more Persona games after Persona 5 Striker in 2020, as Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal are also coming to Switch.
Atlus, the developer and publisher of the Persona series, recently released the results of the Atlus Consumer Survey during the live stream of the Atlus Survey 2022 Special Program (via PCGamesN).
One of the questions in the May 2022 poll conducted worldwide was whether respondents were interested in playing a remake of the previous Atlus game. Of the more than 45,000 respondents, 78.9% chose both Persona 3 and Persona 2 as the two titles they would most like to play if Atlas decided to make a remake.
The two games were followed by Persona and Persona 4 Apocalypse.
Persona 3 and Persona 2 remakes may come
Given that many consider it one of the best entries in the series, Persona 3 with the most votes is not surprising.
The PSP version has been ported to new platforms, but many fans will say that Persona 3 deserves a remaster or remake. In addition, Persona 2 games Innocent Singh and Eternal Punishment deserve remastering or remakes, as evidenced by the number of people who voted for them.
Hopefully Atlus receives voting results as a sign that working on a proper remaster or remake of an old persona title is definitely what the viewer wants along with the new franchise entry. increase.
With the re-release of Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal, we'll see what the future holds for Persona fans over time.
