5 Best premium Android games 2022

There's something exhilarating and stress-relieving about playing a mobile game that wasn't designed to spend tons of cash on in-app purchases. , a lot can be said about spending a few bucks upfront to get a whole game that you can enjoy from start to finish without having to open crates or packs of cards.

I'll spare you the soap box chatter. Instead, we scoured the Play Store and picked out a few games that pay a little upfront but are worth every penny... Here are the best Android games without the pesky IAP.

1.THE BANNER SAGA

The Banner Saga is a character-driven tactical RPG set in Northern Europe. Your choices really matter in this game and its sequels. It feels like a Nordic version of Fire Emblem - at least that's the vibe I played.

Love the art style, from the character designs to the breathtaking scenery. This isn't "baby's first tactical RPG" either. It's pretty intense and needs every ounce of strategy you have. It deserves the nickname "tactical". But again, everything depends on your choices, from how you approach combat to how you interact with your characters.

I highly recommend both The Banner Saga and The Banner Saga 2. Yes, they're $10 each, but if you're a fan of tactical RPGs, check them out. But even if you've never played a tactical RPG before, The Banner Saga is a great place to start. The story is touching, the characters are wonderfully written, and the game itself is great.

2.CASTLEVANIA: SYMPHONY OF THE NIGHT

You could have knocked me out when this game suddenly hit the Play Store and without fanfare. , defined an entire genre called "Metroidvania" that can still be seen today.

Charm and nostalgia aside, Symphony of the Night is great to play on Android. The touchscreen controls are decent and certainly work, but we found the game best played with a controller. The team behind the port converts very old games to newer platforms You did a wonderful job.

This version of Symphony of the Night is great and worth the few bucks. I love seeing old classics ported to modern systems for younger players (or players who didn't get a chance to experience them in the game's heyday) to try it out. If you want a good platformer, Play he needs Symphony of the Night in his library.

3.DEAD CELLS

You could have knocked me out when this game suddenly hit the Play Store and without fanfare. , defined an entire genre called "Metroidvania" that can still be seen today.
Dead Cells is he one of the best indie games of the last decade. This rogue-like Metroidvania with Souls elements is truly a masterpiece of gaming, finally coming to his Android with an excellent port. Everything in this game works so well together that it's hard to find any real faults. I know some people don't like extreme challenges, but that's subjective.

Choose between a Bluetooth controller (the best way to play) and great touchscreen controls. The port is nicely done. Haven't run into any problems, issues or bugs in hours of playing. The art style, including player and enemy designs, is worth mentioning.

As a villain, death is eternal. Failure forces you to start over in a cell and start over. However, things will not be the same when you get back on the trail, so be prepared for every run. Lots of different loot to craft other builds in, but you lose it all when you die... But don't let that put you off.

4.FINAL FANTASY VIII

Talk about premium games. Final Fantasy VIII reaches the pinnacle of his game on premium mobile at a whopping $21. But on his defense, you get a lot of games for that kind of hitter: Final Fantasy VIII is his massive JRPG (the main story alone takes about 40+ hours) and Final Fantasy It's a divisive entry in the game's long lineup. In many ways it's a far cry from the standard his JRPG format, so keep an open mind when approaching this unique title.

FFVIII follows the protagonist Squall and his motley crew on an epic adventure across time and space to save the world. It's more or less a typical Final Fantasy plot. What's special about FFVIII is that it has some novel twists in character development, and in the end the story is really bananas. Unless Endgame is completely insane and VIII really delivers on that front, it's not a true Final Fantasy game to me. If you get bored, try Final Fantasy VIII! It will surprise you.

5.GRIMVALOR

Grimvalor is a side-scrolling action RPG with tight controls, excellent movement skills, a familiar and interesting storyline, and beautiful graphics. You have to be tactical in how you approach enemies and level up your character. With secrets hidden throughout the map, there's also a lot to discover. I think Castlevania meets Dark Souls and has a pretty good image of Grimvalor.

Soft paywall. That means you can try the games for free, and then if you enjoy what you've been playing, you can pay to unlock the rest. Starting with very simplistic controls (three buttons for jump, attack, and sprint), it offers new attack methods as the game progresses and your character levels up.
